My Approach
Every human being deserves to feel a sense of aliveness in their lives, and it is my belief that this goal is achievable wherever you are along the way. I believe we are made stronger because of, rather than despite, the adversities we face. In our time together, you can expect a heart-centered, liberatory and pleasure-positive space to help you both navigate your healing journey and explore the parts of your experience you wish to address. We will focus on cultivating a relationship that empowers you to deepen your self-awareness, improve your ability to cope, and boldly face the challenges that prevent you from fully realizing the life you imagine.
While I have studied multiple modalities, I am especially interested in the transformational power of a blended approach, drawing upon relational and psychodynamic theories, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also use mindfulness and body-based approaches when appropriate. Additionally, I am in the beginning stages of EMDR training. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively-researched method used for the treatment of trauma, PTSD/C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, OCD, and more.
Regardless of the approach we land on, it is important to note that meaningful change becomes possible first by fostering a relationship that establishes a fundamental respect for trust, collaboration, exploration and consistency.
