What are your rates?
I work on a tier system with each client to determine an appropriate rate for your treatment. For those clients who find themselves able to pay a full fee and who are reimbursed through their insurance, the tier system allows them to pay above the full fee which helps subsidize the treatment for lower-earning clients.
It is imperative to note that your fee can be an ongoing conversation based on the evolution of your financial needs, rather than being set in stone throughout your treatment. Please don’t let your inability to afford a full fee be the reason not to reach out.
Do you offer sliding scale spots?
I reserve a percentage of sliding scale spots for QTPOC. While these spots are currently full, please reach out if you are in need of sliding scale for any reason, as my associates work on a different fee structure and may have sliding scale availability.
Again, it is always worth reaching out. Even if we can’t make something work right now, we can help refer you or make a plan to meet down the line.
Do you take insurance?
I am not currently working in-network with any insurance panel, but I do provide a Superbill that you can submit for any reimbursement that is stipulated in your plan. Once they meet their deductible, many of my clients receive between 40-80% back for sessions.
How often will we meet?
Individual sessions take place once, sometimes twice, a week. Relationship and family sessions are typically once a week. While meeting weekly is proven to be the most effective cadence for successful treatment, I may be open to exploring other options as needed on a case-by-case basis.
Is my treatment confidential?
Yes. All information you share with me will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with my values as a provider, as well as federal law protecting patients’ privacy. There are some notable exceptions that would legally require me to disclose your information, which we will discuss when we meet.
Questions to ask your insurance…
Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy (CPT Codes 90834, 90837, or 90847)
If so, what is my deductible and have I met any of the amount?
What is my coinsurance (the percentage of the fee they will cover after deductible is met)
What is the maximum amount covered per session and how many sessions are covered per year?
